SANDRA JACOBSON LERNER, OTR/L | CEO
Sandye Jacobson Lerner is founder and CEO of The Comprehensive Group. She established Comprehensive in 1975 following a successful career in hospital therapy department management. Well respected in rehabilitation, Sandye brings clients and therapists together as partners, to achieve mutual goals of cost-effective, quality rehabilitation. With more than 30 years of experience, her progressive management style and hands on quality improvement programs distinguish Sandye as a sound, successful businesswoman, and have helped establish Comprehensive as a leading rehabilitation, management, staffing and consultation company.

GREGG ALTOBELLA, MS, CCC/SLP | PRESIDENT
Gregg Altobella has 20 years of experience in healthcare management and leadership roles for private and publicly held organizations. Gregg has sat on the advisory boards of seven healthcare agencies, and served as adjunct faculty to the Universities of Louisville and Kentucky. He currently serves as the President of the National Association of Rehabilitation Providers and Agencies (NARA), as well as Board Member to the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Finance Planning Board. He has advised numerous organizations in a variety of capacities, ranging from strategic planning to the development of clinical models and operations.

 

MARLENE KERSTEIN, MS, OTR/L | SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT,
REHAB MANAGEMENT & STAFFING SERVICES

Marlene Kerstein has more than 30 years experience in clinical management of hospitals and long term care facilities. Most recently she has been providing Management Consultation to a variety of health care facilities. Marlene’s strength is in understanding our client’s needs and custom tailoring a solution to meet those needs. As Senior Vice President, she oversees operations for the deliver of rehab services for Comprehensive Kids, Comprehensive Rehab and Comprehensive Hospitals which encompasses our pediatric/school-based model, our senior therapy and wellness programs and our hospital department outsourcing/management contracts.



 

KEN GLOWACKI | VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE
As Vice President of Finance, Ken Glowacki focuses on all areas of accounting and financial management. He has a degree in accounting from Loyola University Chicago and extensive experience in the healthcare arena. His previous professional experience includes finance positions in hospitals, home health care and physician's groups, and running his own private accounting practice.



 

BARBARA KABAKER, MS, CCC/SLP | VICE PRESIDENT, PERFORMANCE AND OUTCOMES
Barbara Kabaker has extensive experience in supervision and management of therapy services, including: hospital department management, outpatient pediatric therapy and consultation in long-term care. As Vice President of Performance and Outcomes, Barbara's responsibilities include oversight of consultation services, compliance, quality outcomes, and continuum of care and client relations. She clearly articulates the value of our services while assuring compliance, creating and enhancing partnerships and supporting clinical program development.



 

PATTY A. BANK, PT/L | VICE PRESIDENT,
SENIOR SERVICES

Patty Bank specializes in Medicare management and consultation to optimize outcomes and reimbursement. She is a licensed physical therapist with proficiency in therapy services for the geriatric population, with a focus on orthopedics and dementia. Since joining Comprehensive in 1997, Patty has developed and taught the Focus on Function™ Health and Wellness program in our Assisted and Independent Living communities.


 

KELLI COMISE, OTR/L | ASSOC. VICE PRESIDENT,
SENIOR SERVICES

Kelli Comise joined the Comprehensive team as a clinician in 1988. She has experience in management and program development for the geriatric, mentally ill and developmentally disabled populations. Her skills in critical processing and problem solving, plus her common-sense approach exceeds our client's expectations. Kelli provides leadership and direction for Comprehensive's outpatient clinics located within senior living communities.



 

AMY GRACE ROZENBERG, MBA, MSPT | ASSOC. VICE PRESIDENT,
CLINICAL OPERATIONS & STAFFING

Amy Rozenberg holds Master's Degrees in Physical Therapy and Business Administration with a concentration in management and marketing. Amy brings clinical experience from her background in inpatient rehabilitation, day rehabilitation and wound care. As Associate Vice President of Clinical Operations and Staffing, Amy oversees the operations of our Comprehensive Kids and Comprehensive Staffing service lines. In addition to this oversight, Amy works diligently on improving the quality of therapy services provided by Comprehensive and directs clinical outcomes measurement for the company.



 

RICK BLOOMBERG, PT, MBA | DIRECTOR,
REHABILITATION SERVICES

Rick Bloomberg is a licensed Physical Therapist and the director of a large hospital rehabilitation department. He has 16 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic, inpatient and subacute rehabilitation. Prior to joining Comprehensive, Rick worked with professional, college and high school sports teams, and he specializes in treating sports injuries.



 

ABEN COOPER, MPT, MBA | DIRECTOR
REHABILITATION SERVICES

Aben Cooper is the Director of Rehabilitation Services for a Chicago hospital and, brings over 15 years of experience as a physical therapist to this position. Having worked primarily as an outpatient therapist, he has also practiced in skilled nursing, inpatient rehabilitation and acute care settings. In addition to his responsibilities as a director, Aben performs documentation audits corporate wide and keeps current by performing direct patient care. He is a certified ASTYM therapist, and earned graduate degrees from Northwestern University’s Program in Physical Therapy as well as The University of Illinois at Chicago Graduate School of Business.



 

JULIE BRINGAS, PT | DIRECTOR, MARKETING AND
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Julie Bringas has extensive experience in sales and marketing of both tangible healthcare products, and healthcare-related services to hospitals, nursing homes, senior communities and other health professionals. Julie joined The Comprehensive Group in 2009 as the Director of Marketing and Business Development. Her background as a physical therapist gives her a keen understanding of the rehabilitation services market.


 

DEBORAH CONNERY, LCSW | DIRECTOR,
CONSULTATION

Deborah Connery has served the long term care and senior housing industry for more than 30 years. She received her MSW from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she had the privilege of conducting research for the Illinois Departments of Public Health and Public Aid. Prior to joining The Comprehensive Group in 2001, Deborah served in various capacities, including Long-Term Care Consultant, Executive Director, Resident Services Director, Director of Private Duty, Marketing and Sales Director. She also worked a social worker and social services director in a variety of practice settings. At The Comprehensive Group, Deborah helps clients meet goals related to regulatory compliance, innovative program development, staff management, reimbursement and quality assurance.



 

REBECCA CASSIDY, OTR/L | PEDIATRIC MANAGER,
SCHOOL SERVICES

Rebecca Cassidy was promoted to co-manager of Pediatrics/ School Services in 2006, after six years with Comprehensive as a school therapist. She provides students in Chicago Public Schools with direct treatment and assessments while managing and mentoring our school therapists. After graduating from Western Michigan University, Becky worked at a Chicago hospital in both staff and supervisory positions. In her 32 years of practice, Becky has participated in extensive Pediatric continuing education, and has advanced certification in sensory integration assessment and treatment.



 

JOEY JACOBSON ROSEN, MS | CORPORATE CONSULTANT
Joey Jacobson Rosen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development & Family, with a specialization in Gerontology, and a Master of Science Degree in Health Systems Management. Joey joined Comprehensive in 2004, bringing her experience within the long-term care industry as an operations consultant for healthcare clients



 

LISA FERCZOK, OTR/L | PEDIATRIC MANAGER,
SCHOOL SERVICES

Lisa is a licensed Occupational Therapist with 10 years of clinical and managerial experience. She has extensive experience working with students with autism within the school districts and additionally working with early childhood intervention programs.
